Installing outside the store

Three steps on any Android device

Download the APK

Open this page on the device, or copy the file over USB. On an Android TV box, the Downloader app can fetch the link directly.

Allow the install

The first time, Android asks to allow installs from this source. Phones: Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps. TV boxes: Settings → Security → Unknown sources.

Open and sign in

Launch NetComTV and sign in with your account. If the Play Store is on the device it will keep the app updated from here on.

Check a download before installing: the SHA-256 checksum shown with each version must match the file you received. On a computer, shasum -a 256 NetComTV-x.x.x.apk (Mac/Linux) or certutil -hashfile NetComTV-x.x.x.apk SHA256 (Windows) prints it.
